"What's New" and "Highest Rated" Areas

Is it possible to have an area at Romance Eternal that indicates any new articles or major functionality that has been added, such as you see in Top Content/Newly Changed area on the left in Wikia, or anything along those lines?

One other thought. Can you develop a way where after a user rates a page/article, that person can recall the highest rated ones.
